Angers Autumn School Foraminifera and geochemistry

The Angers AutumnSchool AAS – 2024 Edition, entitled “Foraminifera and Geochemistry”, which will take place from September 30th to October 4th, 2024, at the University of Angers (France).

This week offers an innovative approach to the study of coastal environments, focusing on the analysis of living foraminifera and sediment geochemistry. Theoretical lectures and practical workshops will be organized to process the data collected in the field on an intertidal mudflat of the French Atlantic coast.

This event targets a French and International audience composed of interested master’s student, Ph.D., post-doctoral researchers, academic partners, and industrial collaborators. The AAS provides the opportunity to acquire professional skills and validate training hours through a final oral presentation based on the results obtained during the week.

The participants will benefit from the guidance of a dozen of living foraminifera and geochemistry scientists, who will share their expertise both in the field and in the laboratory, through integrated experimental approaches and lectures on various topics (see flyer).

This edition of the AAS follows a successful edition of “AAS 2023” held in Angers.
