foraminifera”.
The profile sought is a young scientist of high international level capable of implementing innovative geochemical approaches for the development of palaeo-oceanographic proxies based on foraminifera. The person recruited will carry out his/her research within the Anjou component of the UMR CNRS Laboratoire de Planétologie et Géosciences, which possesses a worldwide reputation on the biology/ecology/paleobiology/paleoecology of these marine micro-organisms. This research project will make a major contribution to the understanding of climate change. From a pedagogical point of view, the chairholder will participate in the training of students of the SVT degree and the newly created Master’s course “Sea, Anthropisation, Diagnosis” around the understanding of the functioning of oceanic ecosystems and the climatic constraints that can affect them.
