Research activities

Mon axe de recherche depuis le début de ma carrière est principalement centré sur la propagation des ondes sismiques et le problème inverse associé. Jusqu’à il y quelques années, je m’étais concentré sur l’échelle de la terre globale tant pour le problème direct (la propagation des ondes) que pour le problème inverse (l’imagerie sismique). Ces travaux m’ont amené à travailler sur la problématique des milieux effectifs et du changement d’échelles pour les ondes sismiques et acoustiques à l’échelle globale mais aussi à l’échelle de l’exploration sismique. J’aborde ce problème avec l’homogénéisation non-périodique pour des milieux déterministes. Cette problématique, d’abord marginale, est maintenant devenue mon activité principale.
